I know...wood working topics ONLY, But this is the latest and greatest in Shop Security and let me tell you...much better than Brinks and ADT combined. Pics: HER NAME IS ARPEGGIO, 4 months old, 45lbs...will grow to 160-180lbs - Neopolitan Bull Mastif:

Thanks guys...I hate to admit it but she is a real "cream-puff". All she wants to do is play...my two kids absolutely adore her and I think the feeling is mutual. She is always hungry, but both the vet and the breeder gave us strick dietary instructions so she will grow and remain healthy. No peanut butter or steak necessary here...at least not yet. Although she does bark at her reflection in the sliding glass doors. I guess Brinks will continue to collect their small ransom/annuity for a little longer. |

Dave- That's a gorgeous puppy, man. A lady down the street has one of these and walks him daily. He is the friendliest 200 lb puppy you'll ever meet. The first time I saw him I though he was a dark grey wrinkly pig with long legs - he's a bit of a chunk. They make nice companions but can be stubborn - that's what the lady owner down the street told me. Good luck and Congratulations-

Great Dog Dave, Here is my shop security. 
The other day my neighbour came over to borrow my little John Deere dozer when no one was home. He said that Shogun came off the deck at full speed and was running right at him. Dean says he really dosen't fear any dog but he just couldn't see how he get a good hold on him before he was torn to bits. So he just closed his eyes and started calling Shogun's name, hoping that he would turn it into play. We asked him what Shogun did when he started to call him and he just said "I don't know, I had my eyes closed remember!" Sho was probably just coming to play but big dogs are certainly intimidating. Yet the kids have pretended he is a lion and opened his mouth as far open as they could so they could show us how they could put their heads in his mouth! Dave, he is only 145 lbs! Pure Bull-Mastiff...a WONDERFUL dog, especially when he is looking after them billets!

That's one good-looking pup. I see you've got her right next to your dehumidifier - good move, that ought to counter the evaporation of all the drool - they are slobbering MACHINES! We have one next door to us. They really are good dogs. |

Shane Beautiful Dog! We got ours kinda by accident but we are sure glad we did. She really loves our kids. She cries every morning when they leave for school and sleeps in her bed, right between the kids bed. I think she will be a good "security system" eventually as most people never want to get close enough to find out if a Big dog bites. Right now she's just a love sponge.

Great looking dogs, my shop and yard security is a great big Mother Goose. She and her three Call Duck companions live on my largest water feature in my garden. She is really friendly to kids and the ladies, but a strange man come on the grounds and things get a little western. I got her as an addition to my personal petting zoo here at the house for my grandkids and as a snake killer. Her security skills were latter discovered. Dogs and Coyotes don't cross this pretty lady. Mike White Oak, Texas |

He's the biggest and most lovable suck I've ever seen...

Beautiful dogs guys. I would love to see a pic of those Geese. That realy has to be something. Thanks for the pics and well wishes guys. I love animals and so do my kids. Maybe some day...it will be off to Green Acres or some small version thereof. My Daughter has been bugging me since she was 4 to get a horse (she's comming up on 9). I figured she could ride the dog when it gets a little bigger. na... I just can't imagine all the work it must be to own a horse.

But a dog cart is a good idea! We started but didn't follow through with it. Shogun is 7.5 years now. That is cool that she is bonding to the kids, we were hoping that would happen but we had the dog first and he KNOWS he is the first child and still wonders how it went from just him to two boys, two cats and another recent pup (a giant schnauzer, 6 months old now). So he typiaclly just hangs out on his chair.... |

You can't sneak up on them and they will defend themselves. Buggers can be mean. My mom had one. He loved her, hated my older brother. Well. it was his own fault. He gave it cheap domestic beer and it never forgave him. It would bite him on the top of the thigh, under his butt every chance it got. I miss that bird.
